With this spate of deliciously wet weather, it pays to keep your feet dry - or at least know how to console damp footwear. If your shoes do get absolutely drenched stuff them with newspaper, let them dry and then polish them the old fashioned way: with polish, a brush and a clean dry rag. And, to waterproof them before their next outing, give your leather shoes a coat of floor wax.
