....acquire a timeless jewellery collection

This is very much a matter of personal opinion combined with budget and lifestyle. But, since you asked I’ll give you my quite firm views on the subject.
- Watch. Understated is best, preferably from one of the classic watch brands like Cartier, Longines or Rolex. A watch is worn everyday, so the cost per wear is virtually nil after a lifetime of service.
- Single string of pearls. A strand of pearls reflects subtle light up to your skin, which is so flattering. They are always appropriate. Wear them with anything and everything. The skin’s natural oils prevents them from yellowing.
- Signature earrings. These really are a matter of personal opinion. Take into consideration the shape of your face and length of your hair. Be they diamond studs or Victorian drop earrings – make them special and wear them often.
- Hermes enamel bangle. They’re fresh, modern and there’s a pattern to suit your taste and a width to match your budget.
- Antique something. Be it a pendant, brooch or bracelet, aim to find a collectible piece that is authentic, with some history. You’re unlikely to see another and when complemented on it, you’ll have a tale to tell.
